New Way to Create Animated GIFs in After Effects

Adobe After Effects now has a built-in feature that allows users to export animated GIFs, making it easier than ever to create these popular image files. This feature is available in the latest version of After Effects, version 2.

Using Free Tools

Prior to the release of version 2, users had to rely on third-party tools such as GIFGun to create GIFs in After Effects. However, with the new built-in feature, users can now export GIFs directly from After Effects without the need for additional software.

How to Export a GIF

To export a GIF from After Effects, simply select the "Export" option from the "File" menu. In the "Export Settings" dialog box, select the "GIF" format from the "Format" drop-down menu. You can then customize the GIF settings, such as the frame rate, color depth, and transparency. Once you are satisfied with the settings, click the "Export" button to save the GIF.
